Review of The Chalice!
Tracy Angelina Evans has given vampires(the Upyr) a new, endearing origin story in The Chalice (The Vampire Relics Book 1) published by Fey Publishing Ltd, as well as an insidiously birthed antagonist. The enigmatic Cadmus Pariah uses all his seductive powers to acquire a precious, Upyric relic called The Chalice, for purposes that only he, and his deliciously depraved mind, can devise.
The tale is told by blending an occasional verse with eloquent, visceral, and poetic prose. Not for the faint of heart, but for the truly intrepid reader who enjoys an intricate tapestry of addictive characters (I’m at a loss to choose a favorite) and delicately orchestrated plots. A novel best savored, yet I could not stop myself from devouring it. Tracy Angelina Evans’ story haunts my waking hours. Her characters teasing me from every shadow, and for that, I will be forever grateful to her. Read her books and be swept down the rabbit-hole to her immersive world of the Night, the Magicks, and the Blood flowing ever so wonderfully onto the tongue.
Seriously, though, read it. You will not regret it.
